The Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. (TYKFI) continued to address the lack of classrooms and facilities in areas difficult to reach for both students and educators. The inauguration, held at the start of 2014, was warmly welcomed by stakeholders in the Province of Nueva Vizcaya.
Named after the late matriarch of the Tan Family, Chua King Ha, the Educational Centers’ vision is for the schools to be exemplary education centers that provide focus and opportunity for teachers, students, and the community. Considering the distance between schools and the difficult terrain of the mountainous region, the Chua King Ha Educational Centers also provide dormitories for educators that efficiently facilitate inter-school activities and sharing of teachers as well as promote psychological and social aspects of the educational experience.
