When George Bernard Shaw wrote, “youth is wasted on the young” he was definitely not referring to the young high school students who have joined Project Citizen (PC) -- an international program organized through the partnership between the Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Incorporated (TYKFI) and the Philippine Center for Civic Education and Democracy (PCCED).
The Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. (TYKFI) and the Philippine Center for Civic Education and Democracy(PCCED) successfully concluded the National Capital Region’s Project Citizen Philippines 2012-2013 run with the support of the University of Makati.
One hundred thirty-six (136) teacher-moderators were trained, and 38 schools and 1 guest presenter school (42 teams) successfully completed the process. Two showcases were organized, with a total of Eight hundred forty (840) students presenting. |
