The Tan Yan Kee Library graduated 54 pupils at the end of its 2011 Summer Activity. This is an annual offering of the library for the youth.
Participants this summer, whose ages ranged from six to fifteen years old, had an interesting mix of studies that included Chinese History and Language (Idioms) and enrichment activities involving play-acting, handicrafts, singing and dancing, and beadwork. Their final output was showcased and given to their mothers during the celebration of Mother’s Day. Culminating activity was their graduation and awarding of certificate of participation.
