University of the East faculty and officers celebrate their 76th year in a 930-hectare protected forest in Nueva Ecija by planting “Palosapis” tree seedlings in coordination with the Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. The anniversary project is mainly through the University's Office of Extension and Community Outreach (OECO)-National Service Training Program (NSTP) in partnership with UE's Marketing and University Relations Department and is a timely effort in reminding the public of how trees not only help nurture the environment but serve as a protective barrier during storms.
