The Foundation made history once again. In order to complete the holistic approach of extending assistance to the company, TYKFI sponsored the livelihood training of 18 unemployed residents of Alangalang and two teachers from the Sulpa National High School at the TESDA Training Center in Tacloban City from May 26 to June 17, 2015.
The Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. (TYKFI), in partnership with Ang•Hortaleza Foundation, Inc. conducted the second part of the Ganda Mo, Hanapbuhay Ko livelihood training program for a group of trainees from Nueva Vizcaya at the Ang Hortaleza Training Center in Valenzuela City from May 18 to May 29, 2015.

“Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime,” – Maimonides. The Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. (TYKFI), recognizing the importance of teaching the members of the community a sustainable livelihood, partnered with Ang Hortaleza Foundation, Inc. to conduct a livelihood training program in Valenzuela City last November 17 to 21, 2014. The program was the continuation of the training which started last May 27, 2011. Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc., Adarna House, Inc., and the Department of Education held a story-telling event for 60 public school teachers, three education supervisors, and three district supervisors and principals at the Bambang Central School in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya.
The Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc.(TYKFI), in partnership with the Department of Education (DepEd) helped schools in Ilocos Sur and Nueva Vizcaya prepare for school year 2013-2014 via a three-day training and planning for the Enhancement of the Annual Implementation Plan (AIP) and the School Improvement Plan (SIP).
Tan Yan Kee Manpower Development Center recently trained 24 out-of-school young people from the community of Sta. Ana, Manila. They learned the basics of computer use and the three commonly used Microsoft Office Applications—Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. |
