    Etvs for Banna Schools

    Tan Yan Kee Foundation Trustee Ms. Tan Hui Bin ceremonially hands over an Educational Television Package to Mayor Carlito Abadilla of Banna, Ilocos Norte.

    A total of five (5) Educational Television Infrastructure Packages (ETVs) were donated to public schools in Banna, Ilocos Norte, a fourth-class municipality that thrives mostly on agriculture.

    During a turnover ceremony, Tan Yan Kee Foundation Trustee Tan Hui Bin personally handed over the ETV’s to Mayor Carlito Abadilla and the school heads of Bomitog, Bangsar, Banna Central, Crispina, and Valdez Elementary Schools.

    ABS-CBN Foundation E-Media Director Zen Dimalanta was also on hand, while she shared that ETV learning brings lessons to full living color and thus makes studying a fun experience for the pupils.

    DepEd District Supervisor Jovencio Agoy, on the other hand, is thankful for the donations and says that it is the fulfillment of the district’s educational dreams and that such will but accelerate the process of learning. He also personally assured that the ETV’s will be fully utilized for the educational development of school children. 

    An ETV package, a highly entertaining and engaging alternative to learning your typical academic subjects, is comprised of a television, a DVD player, and 108 volumes of the TV shows Hiraya Manawari (Values), Bayani (History), Epol-Apol (English), Math-inik (Mathematics), and Sine-skwela (Science); it also comes with a teachers’ lesson guide.

      Education on Television (ETV) Infrastructure Project

      In partnership with the ABS-CBN Foundation E-Media, ETV packages comprising of a TV set, DVD Player and 33 updated volumes of 501 episodes of DVD Learning materials on English, Math, Science, Values, and History will be donated to public schools.
