      FUSE Teachers Training

An important mission is educational reform. This is a critical aspect of the Tan Yan Kee Foundation’s partnership with the FUSE or the Foundation for Upgrading the Standard of Education.  This is carried out through the training-the-trainors method, with the end result of improving teaching standards and competency particularly in the subject areas of English, Mathematics, and the Sciences.

The program revolves around regular Teacher Training workshops, distribution of Continuing Studies via Technology (CONSTEC) in CD format, and the Science and Engineering Education Project (SEEP) in partnership with the Department of Education, Ateneo de Manila University, and De La Salle University.

Since its inception in  1994 up to 2008, FUSE has trained 13,687 teachers, circulated 21,011 journals, and distributed 386,494 training video computer disks  nationwide, even reaching remote areas.
