The Tan Yan Kee Foundation team brought early Christmas cheers to children (and adults alike) to Barangay Balete in Nueva Vizcaya last December 15. Balete is also the site of a seven-classroom school being built by the Foundation and named Tan Yan Kee Elementary School.
Two clowns motored with the team to Balete and provided entertainment and laughs for the many kids who saw clowns for the first time. Gifts, mostly school supplies, were given to each child. Two organic lechons, bred and roasted to perfection by Foremost Farms took centerpiece in a simple menu prepared for all attendees.
Guests of honor included Mayor Teodorico Padilla, DepEd Asst. Div. Superintendent Reynalda Bangunan, Brgy. Chairman Romeo Bugtong and members of the Balete Brgy. Council, Tan Yan Kee elementary School Head Teacher Allan Paclit, DepEd-ALS teacher Roderick Peralta, and school teachers of the Tan Yan Kee elementary School.
