The Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc. hosted an educational trip to the Mind Museum and Science Centrum for the teachers and principals from different high schools in Nueva Vizcaya last September 5, 2014. TYKFI believes that an educational trip provides a rich experience for everyone. In this educational trip, teachers had the chance come face to face with science firsthand, connecting with the people and exhibits on a much deeper level than they could in the classroom. In addition, teachers had the opportunity to talk with museum personnel which broadened their perspectives. The trip’s objectives were: (1) to deepen Social and Historical Knowledge in Science, and (2) to develop Critical Thinking Skills in Science. 

The Tan Yan Kee Foundation was invited by the Bonifacio Art Foundation to witness the launching of the Astrophotography exhibit called A Night in a Different Light at the Mind Museum at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig. Various types of Astrophotography were on display and were later auctioned to sustain the Museum’s subsidy for public school visitors. 

Dr. Lucio C. Tan recently graced the inauguration and opening of The Mind Museum under the wing of the Bonifacio Art Foundation, Inc.  The Tan Yan Kee Foundation, Inc., Chaired by Dr. Tan, sponsored the construction of the Mind Museum Theatre.
